OUR COLD BREW CANS

We at Seven Virtues roast light to medium to bring exceptional flavor out of the coffee bean. We feel this translates really well within our cold brew cans. We constantly hear how sweet our cold brew tastes when many are bitter and burnt tasting. We believe coffee is a fruit and should have a natural sweetness, without sacrificing flavor, caffeine, or kick! In fact the lighter the roast, the more caffeine you get! Even our “dark roast brazil-JET FUEL” is dark for us, but lighter compared to others. We wanted to give a chocolate nutty flavor, without the burnt side of things.

We partnered with a local canner to keep things portland made. We believe in the power of community to help keep everyone afloat, and we do our best to keep everything within our cold brew lines locally made, roasted and brewed.

KEGS

REGULAR 
We offer regular cold brew kegs in our Ethiopian Third Wave and our Brazilian Jet Fuel. Our Third Wave roast is light, acidic and fruity, while our Jet Fuel roast contains notes of chocolate and nuts, with hints of smoke and peanut brittle.

NITRO 
We offer our cold brew in nitro as well! Our nitro cold brew has a smooth mouthfeel that brings forth additional flavor notes for an elevated taste.

CONCENTRATE

PROCESS
We create our cold brew concentrate using a newer technology - the Brew Bomb. We have found that this method, which is essentially a cold pour-over, is best for extracting the coffee’s fruity and nuanced notes. As with most of our coffee, our objective for our cold brew line is to uncover the bean’s natural flavors. We use a variety of single origin beans throughout the year to create cold brew that is unique and sweet all on its own. When using Ethiopian beans, we create a fruit-forward and acidic cold brew concentrate. For our Latin American beans, such as the Brazilian or Guatemalan, we bring forth notes of chocolate and peanut butter. 

DILUTION 
While dilution of cold brew can vary in taste, we stick to a 3:1 ratio. This balance results in a delicious drink that gets you going, without leaving you feeling like your heart is pumping out of your chest. We are very flavor conscious, and we feel that this ratio creates the ideal combination of flavor and effect.

DRINKING 
While we believe our cold brew tastes delicious without any add-ons, we don't fault you for wanting to spruce it up! Add some chocolate or a splash of your favorite milk to enhance the cold brew to your personal taste.
